They’re dadgummed right. Americans make better cheese than “cheese product,” dang it.

Actually, GM Korea led the development of the Sonic/Aveo, while Opel led platform development (even though the Mokka is the only model they make using the Gamma II platform), and then Australia (Holden) and Detroit (US market Chevrolet) filled in the development effort.
Plus, the car is built in 7 assembly plants around the world, in China, Mexico, South Korea, Thailand, Michigan, Columbia, and Russia.
The Sonic isn’t actually an American car, but a true ‘global’ car.

I’m Canadian, and I never learned until recently that “American Cheese” was the name of a processed cheese. I assumed (as many others likely do) that it was simply any cheese that was made in the U.S.
Processed cheese tastes gross, why would anyone want it to be the default “American” cheese?
EDIT: After reading this , I now know that I misunderstood what “American Cheese” is. I thought it was basically Kraft Singles or similar crap.
